Inspired by Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet, this electrifying tale of star-crossed love is set on the streets of 1950's New York, where tensions flare between rival gangs – the Jets and the Sharks. When Tony, a former Jet, falls in love with Maria, sister of the Sharks’ leader, their romance sparks a battle that threatens to tear their world apart.
With Leonard Bernstein’s unforgettable score, Stephen Sondheim’s soaring lyrics, and Jerome Robbins’ ground-breaking original vision, West Side Story is a passionate, powerful, and heart-breaking story of love, loyalty, and loss.
